ABOUT ME

My name is Andrew Sabo, but most people just call me Sabo. I was born and raised on the East Coast, made the move to San Diego in March of 2020, and have enjoyed every moment since. As I begin my teaching journey, I am thankful that I have the opportunity to begin my career in a community that puts equity and inclusion at the forefront in the classroom.

After graduating from James Madison University with degrees in History and Communications with an emphasis on conflict analysis and intervention. I worked as a long term substitute before becoming a paralegal, but after two and half years I realized that it wasn't what I wanted to be doing. I wanted to be giving back and making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. I am the son of an educator, who for the past 20+ years has shown me how much of an impact a teacher can have on the lives of students. She was always willing to go above and beyond, and I only hope I can be as impactful of a teacher as she has been and continues to be.
